Detailed Sole S77 Treadmill Review
The sheer power of a gym-quality treadmill in the comfort of your own home – the Sole S77 non-folding treadmill is perfect for the winter training of all serious runners. As all Sole treadmills, the S77 boasts powder-coated, all-steel welded frames and heavy-duty, stable inclines.
Sole took the S77 to another level, however, by using an industrial-quality 3.5-horsepower continuous-duty motor and adding the largest deck in any of its treadmills. The 22-inch wide running surface will simply be big enough for every runner. The treadmill also includes an all-steel, zinc-coated balanced flywheel that’s much heavier than what most other brands are using, therefore giving you the fluid motion you’re accustomed to at your gym. In case you have balky joints, Sole added its low-impact, whisper-quiet Cushion Flex system to the S77. This special Cushion Flex system will lower the impact to your feet, ankles, knees, hips, and spine. Hence it is very comfortable if you are a frequent runner or if you have any running- or walking-related injuries. The Cushion Flex deck puts 40 percent less pressure on you compared to you running on asphalt.

The S77 makes it easy to track your workout progress via the vibrant 9-inch LCD display, showing you the speed, incline, calories burned, your pulse, running time, distance traveled and the pace. It also shows you a 1/4-mile track and a peak-and-valley graph for the different programs. The integrated sound system lets you listen to your iPod or MP3 player. Another cool feature we like is the integrated message board, which shows you scrolling messages, either walking you through the treadmill’s features or your workout itself. Once you finished running it will also show you a recap of your entire routine. This makes it easy for you to track your progress from workout to workout.
We especially liked the S77′s two heart-rate-controlled workout programs. These make it easy to customize the workout to your specific needs. While you are running, the treadmill will show you a heart rate zone graph on the display while automatically adjusting the incline to keep you in your target zone. Your S77 treadmill includes a wireless chest strap for the transmission of your heart rate). If you don’t like to use the heart-rate programs you have 6 more pre-configured automatic programs and two additional customizable programs.
The Sole S77 treadmill also has built-in cooling fans, handy armrest speed and incline controls and a 10 amp circuit breaker.
